My Blueprint in Clay: How My 4/6 Shapes Every Piece of Love & Light Handcrafted Pottery

As makers, we pour so much of ourselves into what we create. Our hands, our hearts, our intentions. They all become part of the final form.

But what if there's an even deeper blueprint silently guiding the way? A soul map shaping not only our journey but the essence of every creation we offer the world?

A human design profile map

For me, that guiding light is my Human Design profile: the 4/6—known as the Opportunistic Role Model, or as I lovingly see it, The Friend Who Becomes the Sage.

This lens has helped me understand not only how I move through life and business, but also how I create. Every handcrafted mug, bowl, and piece of earthware I create carries the unique signature of this 4/6 energy. Let me share how.

Line 4: Connection Through Handcrafted Pottery Creation (The Heartfelt Friend)

The “4” in my profile is all about relationships, resonance, and community. It’s through genuine connections that opportunities find me, and that’s exactly how I've been able to meet so many of you.

  • From My Circle to Yours: Many of you have discovered my pottery through friends, local events, or shared moments. That’s no coincidence. My greatest joy is knowing that the pieces I create find their way into homes through heartfelt referrals and authentic exchanges.

  • Pottery as a Bridge: Pottery isn't just functional. It’s the mug you share with a friend over coffee or the bowl passed around at Sunday dinner. These everyday rituals become sacred through connection, and that’s what the 4th line is here for. My pottery is made to hold those moments of warmth.

  • Weaving Community: Whether I’m filling wholesale orders or showing up at a local market, it’s about so much more than business. It’s my way of living my design and co-creating within the vibrant web of community and shared purpose.

Line 6: A Journey to Soulful Mastery (The Sage in the Making)

The “6” is a story of wisdom hard-earned. It’s about embracing the long game, moving through trial and error, refining your craft, and eventually becoming a role model, not by perfection, but by experience.

  • Learning Through the Fire: In my early pottery days, I made a lot of messes: clay that cracked, glazes that pin-holed, firings that didn’t go as planned. But every mistake was a teacher. Pottery has been my personal alchemy, transforming not just earth and fire, but also my own spirit.

  • Growth in Phases: The 6th line moves in phases, and so have I. From fearless experimentation, to years of stepping back and watching, listening, integrating. Now I’m stepping forward again while rooted in wisdom, yet still open to wonder. Each piece I create holds that energy of evolution.

  • Embodied Beauty: My deepest desire is to offer handcrafted pottery that feels soulful. Functional, of course but also grounding, calming, and quietly powerful. This is the heart of Love & Light Earthware: pieces made with intention, carrying a sense of presence and peace.

You Hold the Blueprint Too

When you hold a piece of Love & Light Earthware, you’re not just holding clay. You’re holding a reflection of something deeply personal: my Human Design blueprint; the friendly warmth of my 4th line, and the hard-earned wisdom of my 6th. Together, they shape every curve, every glaze, every detail.

This is what “love and light” means to me: creating pieces that are more than beautiful. They’re alive with purpose. Anchored in soul. Made to serve, to soothe, and to connect.

I can't thank you enough for being a part of this journey. I'm truly grateful for you.

In love and light,

Lindsey xo
